The 48 inch side rails combined with the 36 inch top create a configuration where the rails extend significantly beyond the top surface on both ends. This is not a compromise or a cost-saving measure, it is a deliberate design decision that opens up positioning and restraint options that a matched-length horse simply cannot offer.
With the rails extending past the top, the dominant has natural anchor points and bondage locations at the ends of the horse that sit outside the main riding surface. This changes how the submissive can be positioned, how wrists and ankles can be restrained, and how much access the dominant has to different parts of the submissive's body during a session. For customers who have used standard matched-length horses and want something that plays differently, the Short Top configuration is worth exploring seriously.
Everything else about this horse is identical to the quality standard across our spanking horse lineup.
